April PTCA Meeting: California's Champion Trees

Next month we’re excited to welcome longtime member and mentor to many of us arborists — the one and only Dan Simpson. Dan will be presenting on California’s Champion Trees, including a few right here in our own backyard. We will see both national as well as state champions. and some that lost their titles.  It’s a perfect segue into our summer tree walks, where we’ll have the opportunity to visit some of these incredible specimens in person. 

We’ll also be meeting at a new, more central location: Filippi's Pizza Grotto - Kearny Mesa on Tuesday, April 7th. This move will make it easier for our North County arborists to join us for these great meetings — and we’re looking forward to seeing some new (and familiar) faces around the table.
