Join us for an engaging hands-on workshop at The Stein Family Farm in National City on Saturday, January 11, 2025. This practical session will boost your skills and knowledge of deciduous fruit tree pruning through in-the-field experience.

Workshop Leaders:

• Matt Smith, Arborist, Smith Family Tree Service

Workshop Schedule:

• 7:30 AM: Meet for coffee and light refreshments

• Topics: Tool care and usage, proper pruning techniques, status of deciduous fruit trees at Stein Farm, and essential tasks for the health of your fruit trees and shrubs (including fertilization, pest management, and disease identification).

• Hands-On Practice: Prune the farm’s trees under expert guidance until 2 PM.

What to Bring:

• Hand pruners, handsaws, gloves, and appropriate field attire.

Registration Details:

• Cost: $100 (includes lunch, refreshments, handouts, and CEU hours for arborists & tree workers).

Vegetarian options available upon request.
