PTCA April Monthly Meeting Program: Proper Tree Selection and Planting BMPs

It's National Arbor Day in April and more arborists are requested and much needed as volunteer supervisors for public tree planting events. This joint presentation will share tree planting details that are important for community volunteers. Successful planting depends on maximum survival of newly planted trees.

What you need to know. Each year thousands of trees die from planting by inexperienced/ unprofessional homeowners and landscapers. Tree planting is a service our industry needs to offer on a wider basis to improve long term survival of landscape trees. Join ISA Certified Arborists Kurt Peacock and Chuck Morgan for BMPs for tree selection and planting. A lot has changed over the last 3 decades as to how we select and plant trees. Global research aimed at uncovering the truth vs. common myths/ misconceptions persisting in the green industry will be covered. Proper planting of good quality trees can be profitable for your business if done right and create increased customer confidence in your business.
